THE BROOKSIDE PROJECT

This master bedroom is a true retreat. My client dreamed of a serene Japandi-inspired space with clean lines, warm wood tones, and a cozy spot to curl up with a book while bird‑watching from the window.

The showstopper? The ceiling. We added white oak planks that instantly transformed it into a stunning focal point, creating a sense of warmth and intimacy. To highlight it, I chose a sleek modern light fixture that adds both elegance and glow.

Soft, neutral furnishings layered with natural textures bring a modern yet inviting feel, while a statement piece of art introduces subtle movement and a hint of color. To finish the look, wall sconces above the nightstands not only complement the chandelier but also leave plenty of space for—what else—stacks and stacks of beloved books.
