The Starlite Run Project
Beach Vibes

This pre-teen wanted a space that felt like her own—something with soft beachy vibes that could grow with her into her teen years. We started with a beautiful tone-on-tone wallpaper that gives just enough texture and interest without being too bold or loud.

The bed features a fun arched headboard in a cozy boucle fabric, and we brought in her favorite color—blue—through the area rug. And of course, the rattan swing chair was a non-negotiable. It’s one of her favorite features and brings that relaxed, coastal feel to the room.

She also needed more storage and a dedicated workspace, so we designed a custom built-in with plenty of hidden storage and a floating desk. The desk doubles as a vanity, so she has her own space to get ready without sharing the bathroom with her sister. The cabinet doors have a youthful look with a soft Scandinavian influence.

We added a chandelier with blush-toned glass bulbs to mimic the warmth of a sunset, and I love how the organic sconces over the nightstands add a soft, sculptural feel. The artwork and accessories complete the look and pull the whole beachy vibe together.
